My school is Maliyadeva College. My school was started on September 30, 1888.  It is a Buddhist school in Sri Lanka. It was also directed by Henry Steele Olcott. My school is one of the most popular schools in Sri Lanka. It is also a national school. Our motto is "Knowledge is a jewel to man". Our school teaches from grade 1 to grade 13 and there are 350 staff. There are many talents in the fields of arts, commerce, science, mathematics and sports. 6500 students are studying. Our school has contributed the largest number of officers to the Sri Lanka Armed Forces and the Police. It's an honor. The flag is designed in navy blue, gold and red colors and is a source of pride for Sri Lanka as well as the North Western Province.
